Just finished reading Eldon Taylor's latest e-newsletter and wanted to share a great quote he printed in it:
"Confucius is credited with this statement, "By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest."
Learning by reflection is looking within. Wisdom by imitation can be tricky unless we are very careful about what we choose to imitate. Experience need not be so bitter if we look upon it appropriately.
For me, experience is a great teacher and what's more, when I examine my life, it is experience that reveals those moments and miracles that confirm a higher reality. Indeed, for me, you can question who you are, whether or not you are in someone else's dream, participating in a world of illusion and so forth. You can ask over and over again, "Who am I?" The one thing for certain that you are is an experience!"
I know where he's coming from.
I read 'Choices & Illusions' by Eldon a couple of years ago. He has a range of Inner Talk CDs designed to tap into the sub-conscious and help you re-programme it.
Could be worth checking out for some of you.
Stay well, happy and keep things in perspective.
